Private Lessons and Group Workshops

Private Lessons

Yes! We offer Private Lessons at $50/hour. Are you stuck on a special piece and need advice? Want to learn how to solder and anneal? Read about a great technique in a book, but execution just isn’t working? In private lessons, your interests come first. We welcome one-time appointments as well as ongoing lessons and are happy to draft a lesson plan when needed. Topics previously taught include fold-forming, roll-printing, hammering, annealing, soldering, cold connection assembly, wire-wrapping, metal etching, patina recipes, and basic tools and techniques for the home studio. Ready to begin? Make contact.

Group Workshops

In addition to our public workshops, we entertain private group workshops at the studio. This makes for a great family activity excursion, unique girls’ night get together, or bridesmaids’ party where the girls can make their own custom jewelry for your wedding based on your design. We supply the materials and know-how, and when requested, snacks and beverages (okay, we might skip the wine or cocktails for the family-friendly version, just let us know). Want to hear more? Make contact.

Photo Pendant

metalledwith will be offering a Make & Take centered around photo pendants. Gather your favorite small photographs and turn them into treasured heirlooms. Necklace pendants are wonderful keepsake gifts – for you or someone else. Please keep in mind that the ideal photograph (or reprint) for this project would be about an inch or less in size. Take those faces, places, or other memories that are dear to you and prepare to wear them close to your heart. Our technique focuses on using resin to set the photos into a prepared bezel. This class is priced at $35. It is a BYOB event, but we’ll provide complimentary light snacks. The estimated time to complete the project is 1-2 hours, so guests should plan accordingly. For questions or to register, contact us.IMG_8205
