metalledwith is jewelry inspired by nature and crafted by hand. The ideas are original, wearable art. Whether a piece is a pressed leaf, captured forever; notes from an old hymnal; or an avian image, each piece is unique and made by hand by Richelle Dourte.

Richelle draws inspiration from nature and considers the plants, birds, and other features of the natural world to be the best identifier in a sense of place. When choosing materials, preference is given to those that are organic, native, recycled and handmade (when applicable, i.e., glass beads). She is proudly from Pennsylvania and hopes that by spreading botanical cheer, we will become better acquainted with the trees that make our corner of the world (the Appalachian Mountains) the unique region that we call home. For we cannot protect that which we do not love, we cannot love that which we do not know, and we cannot know that which we did not learn.
