Places Ring: Italian Lake

Remember that marathon ring for my sister in law? Well, my sister in law from the other side of the family liked it, too! This prompted my brother to request one for her birthday earlier this summer. Taking the concept of a place, I suggested Italian Lake, where they were married.

Rather than using an old map, I went to a trusty aerial image, then edited with a bit of distortion–just enough to make it look like some sort of jasper while still keeping the image recognizable as a place.
The band and bezel are made from sterling silver. I love this idea of taking a special place and memory and transforming it into subtle adornment.
