To make choosing your ideal course easier, we’ve loosely borrowed from college course classification. For instance, if you’re a beginner, a 101 class is definitely for you! However, if you’ve had some experience with metal-working or have taken a class with us before, consider trying out a 200-level class to build upon your existing knowledge. Richelle makes every effort to ensure her guests enjoy their experience and welcomes anyone to any class. So if you’re feeling adventurous, don’t be afraid to try metal etching, even if you’ve never crafted before. Likewise, if you’re an artist seeking a fun night of being crafty, textures 101 is not beneath you. Basically, there is something for everyone!

100-level classes are “Make-and-Take” style. They take place on weeknights and last approximately an hour. Feel free to BYOB at these events. Our goal is to help you forget about life’s monotonous obligations and gather together to unleash your creativity and make something for you to take home and enjoy.

200-level classes are longer workshops that usually take place on weekends. We’ll dive into understanding the techniques that change and shape the material while learning to use specific tools in the process. Depending on the focus of the class, 200-levels may last the morning or most of the day.

2/9 Textures 101: Hammered Heart
Learn to use various hammers to generate texture into copper hearts that will be made into pendant necklaces. What’s more cathartic than relieving stress and getting creative through hammering metal? We’ll start at 6pm and take a little over an hour to create our hammered hearts at this Thursday night class. Class cost (includes materials) is $35. For questions or to register, contact us.

3/23 Torch Enameling 101
Join us at the metalledwith studio for a Torch-Fired Enameling Make-and-Take! During this class, guests learn how to apply and fuse enamel to copper using fire. The finished product will be an enamel necklace. All materials (copper, enamel, equipment, and necklace) are included in the class, priced at $35. We’ll start at 6pm, and the estimated time to complete the project is 1 hour. For questions or to register, contact us.

3/30 Torch Enameling 102
This is the next step up from Torch Enameling 101. Using the same basic principals learned from basic torch enameling, we’re taking it to the next level by introducing an additional color and experimenting with color design techniques. We’ll start at 6pm. The estimated time to complete the project is approximately 1.5 hours. Class cost (all materials included) is $45. For questions or to register, contact us.

4/22 Walk in the Woods: Leaf Collection
Join us on Earth Day as we spend time hiking in nature. Test your tree identification or become acquainted with new plants. Observe which species are already out in full leaf and which buds have yet to unfurl. Take note of what you see and compare it to next year’s Earth Day. Listen to the bird migration already under way. Learn about plant preservation and museum techniques. This event is shine only. Details TBD. 5/4 Leaf Jewelry 103
Love our Eastern Woodlands style with the botanicals set in resin? Now’s your chance to create your own. Bring along your own pressed leaves (less than an inch long and bring multiple back-ups) or choose from a variety we have prepared. We will be focusing on resin techniques more than metalworking at this class. A necklace pendant bezel will be prepared for you to resin-set your little piece of natural art. We’ll start at 6pm. The estimated time to complete the project is 1.5 hours. Class cost (all materials included) is $55. For questions or to register, contact us.
