2016 Classes: Lessons Learned

November 14, 2016

img_8429We think it’s safe to say that the experiment was a success! In 2016, we decided to offer more classes in the studio. Initially, this was an idea to help balance the workload/family life as Richelle learns how to run a small business while simultaneously bringing up baby. What she didn’t expect was the lesson that she really enjoys working with people in these small groups. This informal teaching style is personally satisfying! Now, how about some numbers:

Number of sessions taught in 2016: 10

Number of topics taught in 2016: 7

Number of participants (does not include repeat guests at different classes): 47

Number of private events: lessons/group workshops: 4

Today we installed reviews on our Facebook page. If you’ve participated and enjoyed your experience, please write a review and help us spread the word about this unique opportunity to learn metalworking, hands on.

Here is a list of the topic descriptions for the 2016 classes. Some will make it to 2017. You can have an effect on the 2017 list, if you contact us to let us know what you want to see on the 2017 curriculum. Our 2017 class list will be published just after we recover from the holidays. What can you expect from 2017? MORE classes! We’re also planning levels to our classes in a 101, 102 type style. First, try the basics. Then there will be a class to take it to the next level.
